La Sorcière
Her Story
As fleeting as a feather; many would say this about Allura.She was a striking thing, with all the colours she bore seemingly in contrast; dark hair and heavy lashes to frame vibrant azure eyes, and rose-tinged lips set against a pale canvas — though it was rare that one would find her sitting still long enough to notice the hint of foreignness in her features.If one did catch her, it was often high off the ground, twining herself around suspended silks and hoops. Her airborne grace earned her the moniker 'Black Angel', and she had danced in the grandest of theatres for months before a sudden disappearance; gone as quietly as she'd come.Words were a rarity with her, but she could be tempted to express herself a little more through music — through a voice that seemed to court all the hidden emotions of a heart, and relay the feelings hidden within her own. Where dance, speech, and song failed, her actions spoke for her.Caught her looking your way? That piercing gaze often lingered a little longer on those with hidden storms in their hearts and minds.

Hooks
- The Bastard Daughter
Born to the wealthy Rousseaux family, but out of wedlock between the eldest son and his lowly lover from the brume. The family was known for housing great Astrologians, and were attuned for the magical arts. Rosaria, however, was born seemingly unable to wield her aether for it, and was thus even more of a shame.- Pruned and Grafted
At the tender age of 9, something changed for the woman — an event that awakened both her latent abilities, as well as something she would later call a curse. It resulted in her grandfather passing away under mysterious circumstances, and her being given to a crumbling House; the Durands. In exchange for taking in the source of their shame, the Rousseauxs aided the Durands in reviving their financial and social standing.- Leaving Ishgard
At 19, just shy of a decade since she'd come to the Durands, Rosaria would flee her newfound home and make for Eorzea. For what reason, it was difficult to say, as others had known the woman to love her adopted family. She would spend the next 7 years making her own life there, solitary as it was, and seemed consumed by a personal research.- The Apothecary
A rather well-known place exists in Limsa Lominsa; an apothecary that serves just about everyone as discreetly as necessary. Rumours speak of an amber-eyed woman there who can create antidotes for just about any poison, and better yet — was skilled in treating more unique afflictions.- The Witch of the Outskirts
Also referred to as the Witch of La Noscea, this moniker... was a manufactured rumour. One that Rosaria very much encouraged in order to deter troublemakers from approaching her isolated abode on the outskirts of La Noscea. Still, people say that the Witch that resides there holds many strange items and artifacts, likely of high value...- Black Market Dealings
Always searching for the strange, illegal, and downright dangerous new substances on the market. Not for herself, no, but to fuel her experiments. Unfortunately, the woman had a habit of buying contraband, specifically poisons, just to sell out the sellers after creating an antidote for them. Naturally, this led to her having quite the number of seedy enemies.
Hard Hooks
Ask before pursuing!
- Tainted Ones;
Is your character Voidsent or similarly corrupted in aether/blood? She may be able to help with certain bespoke sufferings... for a small exchange.- In Tongues;
While she lacks fluency in Common and just about every other commonly used language in the present, she's well-versed in Ivalician (and some other older languages).- Dalmascan Dreams;
Speaking of Ivalice, it seems the land that housed Rabanastre and those ancient fairytales may also keep a record of her hidden history.- House Durand;
A minor noble house of Ishgard, the Durands had steadily fallen into decline over their long history, nearly dissolving during the Dragonsong War. What happened in that time was a mystery made up of heretical rumours and mystical guesswork — the only certainty was that their banner had changed come the end of the war, and their contributions tripled. Thus, the failing House that carried a name meaning 'to endure'... endured. Now, they were better known for owning the Holy See's grand theatre. Strange, how this shrouded House would go on to treat Allura as a precious member of their suit. Stranger still, when pressed for a surname, the dancer would sometimes answer 'Durand'.- Lady Luan;
The Luan family was once an esteemed line in the Far East. Now, it exists only in memories of grandeur, and in whispers detailing a bloody, murky end. Not much is known about them, but tales of the clan's far-reaching influence would find a sudden resurgence when their symbol — the Luan bird — was found decorating the banner of a reviving noble house of Ishgard. Question Allura about this old story, however, and one might find the dancer growing quieter. Softer.- Physical Releases; (21+)
As of late, she has been seeking more physical outlets for her growing mental and emotional strife. Simply put, she aims to drown herself in another when certain pains reach a fever pitch. (Note: She is not a sub.)- (RARE) Stray Feather;
No one is ever fully as they seem. This is a rare hook for those who wish to explore the character further. DM to discuss!
Rumours
"That lass? Turned up in Coerthas like a pool of ink in the snow one night. About the same time that haunting voice disappeared from the area.""Got a funny way of speaking, don't she? If you catch her speaking at all.""... But her singing, now that's something. She's got a way of making you feel things.""Not sure if she came by on a ship or if she's looking for one, but a ship is involved somehow!"
